My first weekend getaway from London was to Berlin, Germany. One of my good friends lives there, so I thought why not go give him a visit since I was so close! See Germany like a real German, ya know?
We looked like complete idiots going around to all the touristy things taking so many cliché, touristy photos, but it was a blast. We checked out the Brandenburg Gate, Reichstag, Fernsehturm, the Berlin Wall, Berlin Cathedral, the Holocaust Memorial, Museum Island, and got a feel for all the local restaurants and bars. Monkey Bar is hands down one of the coolest bars I’ve ever been to. If you’re ever in Berlin you’ll have to check it out. It’s on the rooftop of 25 Hours Hotel and overlooks the monkey enclosure at the Zoo – hence the name! Also got to go to Germany’s Pride Festival which was so f*cking lit.
