Imma get right to the point with this one.
I have been obsessed with the statement sleeve look ever since it graced the runways of fashion week in 2015 and this past fashion month in September. Don’t ask me why, but I just got my hands on one a few weeks ago. I’m so pissed at myself about this. Maybe I’m so late in the game because I could never find the right one- slimming but still very dramatic. Then this Milly top slapped me in the face one day while shopping around the Square in Oxford.
My favorite part is obviously the sleeves, but also the color. It’s not black; it’s this yummy charcoal color, and for some reason, I feel like the gray hue is so much more versatile and edgy. Also, the Fabric! I laid one finger on it in the store and passed out. I’m tellin’ ya, never miss an opportunity to wear silk. Well, unless it’s really freakin’ hot outside, then it might not be the best idea… Whatever tho.
This top is literally a dream!!
Reason why said blouse is a dream:
1. IT IS SILK.
2. I’ve never seen a blouse more perfectly tailored than this.
3. HELLO, the sleeves. Need I say more!?
4. Concealed buttons- weird I know, but really it makes all the difference.
5. Serious 70s vibes.
This was definitely a splurge piece, but I’m telling you it was so worth it.
