My Fail-Proof Winter Outfit

January 18, 2018

I’m taking back all the nice things that I have ever said about winter. I’m currently sitting in my living room looking at about 8-9 inches of snow outside my window that has been here for almost a  week now. It’s been in the low teens for well over a week. I haven’t left my house in days. I take that back, I’ve gone to the gym, and my dad has dropped me off and picked me up each time. Have I reverted to a 12-year-old where I have to ask my parents for rides places and have to call them 30 minutes before I would like to be picked up? For the time being, apparently so.

Despite all the bad things about winter, the only consistently good thing about this season is the clothes, duh! Cozy sweaters, killer coats, and boots! The best, uber-warm winter uniform.

I hit the jackpot during Thanksgiving weekend with all the sales. I stocked up on so many good sweaters. This J. Crew sweater was a major win! It has an asymmetrical cut which is my favorite because I love tucking in the front of shirts to give them more structure but still like when they hang out a bit in the back. Y’all know my wardrobe consists of mostly neutrals, so when I came across this camel coat a few years ago, I had to buy it. You really can’t go wrong with any neutral color peacoat. You will wear it year after year!

What is your go to outfit when the temps drop?
