Books You Need to Read This Summer

June 9, 2018

It’s a rare occasion that I find a book and read it cover-to-cover. I normally start a book, get distracted, set it aside and never touch it again or maybe, pick it back up months later and finish it.

I’ve been trying to get a lot better about reading; in fact, it was one of my intentions for the New Year. Yeah, it’s halfway through 2018 and I have not forgotten about my resolutions.  I’m trying to get into Audible because my biggest thing about reading is that I “don’t have time,” &  with Audible, I can do things while “reading” but I can’t say I’m actually absorbing the info, so we’ll see how that goes.

My favorite way to read is with the book in my hand, not on an iPad or Kindle or any other device. There’s something about having the book in my hands that I love. It’s so easy for me to read when I’m laying out by the pool or on an airplane, but I’m really trying to get better at reading before bed because I sleep so much better.

Summer is the time where it seems most people talk about reading because they are going on vacation & want a good beach read, so I’m sharing all the books that I’ve read the past year/year and a half that have all impacted me in such a great way.

Keep scrolling to check them out!

As you can tell, I’m all about the self-help books. I never want to stop learning! There are a few in this list that have really shifted my view on life, and I cannot thank these authors enough for that.

What books have you been reading recently?! I’d love to pick up a fiction book. The last fiction book I read was the Harry Potter series. Can you really go wrong with that?

Thanks so much!

I mean I love the Harry Potter series that’s obviously a classic and one of my favs, but I do like reading self-help books too I find once you start reading those books it can be quite addictive and you want to read more.
